Each new head mesh has been designed to work as mix and match pieces
for the Ultra Head series. For Example, all CU01 female heads will use
the same skin, providing you with a variety of looks. So if you install
four CU01 head meshes and textures, you will have sixteen heads to choose
from.
Although these contain higher polygons
(see box below) than the original Maxis meshes
for a smoother quality, these have significantly less
polygons than some or our previously featured head meshes
to cut down on system resource usage.
1. Polygons are what models
are made from. They are like facets on a diamond.
They are either three sided triangles and/or 4 sided
squares. The polygons stiched together give a model
it's shape.
More polygons allow for higher resolution(smoother)
models and more complex shapes.
The way a texture(picture) is applied to the model
is called it's "UV map". The mapping
allows a picture to wrap like xmas wrap around
a white box. Those pictures used are usually referred
to as texture maps. In sims they are called skins.
