Bluegenie2Vima - Knowing what's ahead of me, I enter this site getting what I expected...lots of blue. If it were music, that would be blues ;). Rather clean with centered text spread out and about, I find the layout not too impressive with the image and text below, image and text below. I get a little lost navigating...clicking then clicking again, and I'm a bit confused because the buttons all have the same style...I think this site would be better served with some navigation similar to Livin' Around the Sims. This site consists of object ranging anywhere from fair to good. Fair because quick recolors don't always interest me, and good because there are some other items that actually seem interesting. I've actually been here before and think that I've seen some real improvement. Floors look ok on site, but I haven't tested out in the game. Some of these are clipart and I've seen them on other sites. There are some nice exterior walls and some tile sets that are nice, but maybe a little bumpy for my taste. I love the wall murals. Very original. Would be nice to see something in a lighter color too though. Walls tile nicely and are worth a look at. There are some really nice objects, if you can get around well enough to find them and not wind up in the same place twice. Definately worth a look through, and if you can tell, I'm a bit tired...Dane kept me up late. ;) Just look at those green eyes. We're going to hang out here for a while, sip three or so martinis and maybe have an extra olive. Skyler - Fun, fun, fun... A Blue Genie. I don't why he's better than purple though, but this blue site is better than having to look at a purple one LOL Let me start by saying I really, really like the blues on this site, and these buttons are just great!!! :) Moving on... To objects. OK, this can get a wee bit confusing. To many buttons, after you click a button before you see anything. I like these large TVs in under the "study>electronics" category. New shows for our Simmies to watch, pretty clever ;) Some of the objects I really liked, others were just recolors which I don't tend to use as much (that's just me though) The walls are pretty nice, nothing so bright you must cover your eyes and in the flooring section they have some matching floors for the bathroom. What I think is the hidden treasure of this site is not necessarily Sim related. This site has some very simple tutorials for PSP, tubes, frames. It's the tutorials that I really liked skimming through. I'm always open to learning more in regard to creating. Four martinis for the Blue Genie (asking nicely to rethink the navigation). I've been to this site before, but hadn't bookmarked it. I did this time, I think this site will only get better over time ;) So CC, what do you think about these two star crossed lovers flaunting themselves the way they do? All this public display of affection... Jealous? Me too hehe What will you do if Hildegard from your Tuesday night bingo should get wind of this? You'll be forced to defend your new found friends =:o You can always tell her I'm an Angel, after all can't you see my halo? It's being held up by my horns 0:) Mason - Well I really like the navigation system here and the color very pretty and it fits the name of the page BLUE! Almost all the objects here are recoloring jobs but pretty well done so I am not going to rag on that. There are also some original pieces here as well. The Floors and Walls are nicely divided up into sections, I like that! This site has plenty of room to grow cant wait to see what she does for House Party! I give this site 3 Flirtini Glasses and a Extra Orange! Squeegee - So this is the official dwelling of the legendary Blue Genie of Sims lore? Now he can be seen up close and personal. And guess what?? He speaks English and not that damned Simmish gibberish!! To be honest, I have never had the Genie yet. But I tend to not play that often. I am too much into the skinning aspect of the game. But my girlfriend on the other hand know the famed Genie well. I just don't know if that is a good thing or not. The website design goes with the theme. No ads, and a few animated images. I really enjoy the custom graphics and the navigation buttons. They are effortless and to the point. What I think fails for the main page, is the italic lettering. It's just to much for the delicate blue theme. Maybe if the lettering was not in bold or the italics were not used. Then maybe it would be simpler on my aging eyes. There is a very significant assortment of walls and floors covering every area of the interior and exterior of the Sim household. I did spot a few floors that I wanted and I made use of the fact that I am there now to get them. :) I would take note that there is a large amount of recolored possessions on the site. The user can then find the perfect match to a color theme of a home. Myself, I tend to not desire the recolored selections but that doesn't mean that I will not download one. The objects are many. I don't think there is a area that is not covered on this site. If you want chairs, then you have a large assortment to choose from. And in many colors, many colors. I also know that BlueGenie2 does make the bulletin board rounds And helps people out. This is a major plus. I know that this might not go with the review of just looking at the site. But I tend to think that it must be noted because a helpful answer from someone would then make a person pay respects by touring the site of that helpful person. So, I do factor this into my review. Overall, the site does include many of the things that I look for as far as being a reviewer. The only negative is the text and the fact that I didn't see some sort of page that would be considered a "index". Because there are a large amount of pages on the site it would be more user friendly to include a index of sorts so that the user could navigate better. I found that I had to go into in area and then go into a smaller area, and so on. A person could get lost. Besides that, It's my pleasure to submit a review of three martinis and a half chewed cherry. Sister Cecilia C. Simser: |
